Feltman Brothers is a heritage children’s apparel company known for designing and manufacturing classic, heirloom-quality clothing for babies and young children, with a focus on timeless craftsmanship and traditional styles. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Feltman Brothers Design Director Sarah Fischer to gain a deeper understanding of the company.
Sarah Fischer’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Fischer said:
“Hi! I’m Sarah — a children’s clothing designer with over 30 years of experience. Ever since I was a little girl sewing outfits for my dolls, I dreamed of one day creating beautiful pieces for children. I feel incredibly grateful to be living that dream every day.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come together? Fischer shared:
“We release new styles twice a year—each Spring and Fall—with the design process beginning a full six months in advance. I’m always on the lookout for inspiration, and while it’s no small task to create something fresh each season, we somehow manage to outdo ourselves time and again. Just when we think we’ve reached our peak, we surprise ourselves all over again!”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Fischer reflected:
“It means the world to see new parents choosing our clothes for their beautiful babies—it’s truly the most rewarding part of what we do.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Fischer explained:
“For over 100 years, Feltman Brothers has been creating exquisite handmade gowns, dresses, creepers, and bobby suits. We’re known for our heirloom-quality craftsmanship and intricate detailing—timeless styles made to be cherished and passed down through generations. Every day, we’re touched by photos from families dressing their little ones in pieces once worn by parents or even grandparents. It’s a tradition that means so much to them—and to us.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Fischer noted:
“For years, you were only able to purchase Feltman Brothers in over 500 local boutiques and select big box stores. That changed in 2012 when we launched our website. Our stores continue to be beloved partners in our brand and our direct marketing and sales are now such a huge part of our business.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Fischer cited:
“In celebration of our 100-year anniversary, we launched a special collection that remains one of our best-sellers to this day. A century—what a milestone! We’re so proud to continue dressing little ones in timeless, beautifully crafted styles. While fast fashion is everywhere, parents still recognize and value the difference that true quality makes.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Fischer highlighted:
“We’re honored to have a treasure trove of thousands of photos from our customers, proudly sharing their adorable little ones with us. These heartfelt images—especially those featuring heirloom pieces passed down through generations—inspire us every single day.”

“We admire the many wonderful Southern-style children’s clothing brands that share our customer base, we truly believe Feltman Brothers stands in a league of its own. Our timeless designs, unmatched authenticity, and classic beauty set us apart in a way that’s simply unparalleled.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Fischer emphasized:
“We introduced our knits only a few years ago, marketed to the next generation who appreciate good quality, but wants styles that are more ‘modern.’ We continue to grow that line alongside our classic line as well.”
