By Amit Chowdhry • May 7, 2026

Fermi America announced the appointment of Larry Kellerman to its Board of Directors as an independent director. The company said Kellerman brings more than 40 years of experience across the electric power and utility sectors as Fermi continues developing large-scale private electric grid infrastructure for artificial intelligence and advanced computing applications.

Kellerman was nominated to the board pursuant to designation rights held by an affiliate of Toby Neugebauer and was elected by the board on May 4, 2026.

Fermi said Kellerman’s experience spans utility operations, power generation, infrastructure development, and energy-focused investment strategies.

Kellerman is co-founder and Managing Partner of Twenty First Century Utilities, an investment and advisory firm focused on structured transactions, power generation assets, and utility partnerships. He has advised Fermi on power generation strategy and development since the company’s inception and previously served as Head of Power for the company.

His prior leadership roles include serving as CEO of Atlantic Power & Utilities, CEO of Quantum Utility Generation, and Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he helped build the firm’s power generation business and led the acquisition of Cogentrix Energy.

Earlier in his career, Kellerman led the North American power business at El Paso Corporation and served as founding President of Citizens Power. He also held leadership positions at Portland General Electric and Southern California Edison.

Fermi America develops next-generation private electric grids designed to support AI infrastructure and hyperscale computing environments. The company’s Project Matador campus is expected to integrate natural gas generation, nuclear power, solar power, battery storage, and utility grid power to support large-scale AI computing capacity.
