F&F Ventures Launches $10 Million Ecommerce Fund With SHOPLINE

F&F Ventures has launched a $10 million e-commerce venture fund in partnership with SHOPLINE, targeting consumer brands and commerce technology companies from pre-seed through Series A.

F&F Ventures is the venture capital arm of the Founders & Funders community, while SHOPLINE operates a global commerce platform serving more than 700,000 merchants worldwide.

The fund is led by General Partners Jeff Erickson, Adam Shaw and Jian Tam, all of whom bring operating experience in consumer products or ecommerce.

Erickson previously scaled a consumer brand to eight-figure revenue before a sale to private equity and has invested in more than 40 companies as an angel investor.

Shaw built a physical products business from zero to $18 million and previously led a seven-figure consumer goods brand. Tam has more than 20 years of consumer packaged goods and ecommerce experience and has completed multiple ecommerce exits.

F&F Ventures will source opportunities partly through the Founders & Funders community, which has hosted more than 300 events in the U.S. and internationally over eight years.

The fund already has 13 consumer brands in its portfolio, including Protein Waffles, NoLimit, See Sea, Link Luggage, OnGo Energy, Board Budder and G Box.

Portfolio companies will also gain access to SHOPLINE’s commerce infrastructure, including storefronts, payments, marketing automation, loyalty tools and multichannel selling.

SHOPLINE Co-President Christopher Yang will serve on F&F Ventures’ investment committee.

KEY QUOTES:

“As the venture capital arm of Founders & Funders, we are fully committed to increasing the likelihood of success for the companies we invest in. We are already seeing the impact we are able to make working with our portfolio companies by leveraging our network connections, distribution channels, eCommerce expertise, experience, and relationships.”

Jeff Erickson, General Partner at F&F Ventures

“F&F is putting capital and operating experience into these companies at the same time, and that combination is what actually moves a young brand. Our part is making sure the commerce side is built as one system from day one, while the company is still early enough to get it right.”

Christopher Yang, Co-President of SHOPLINE
