Finni Health: $3.2 Million Raised To Focus On Improving Autism Care

Finni Health is a company that is empowering autism providers to go independent. The company announced it has raised $3.2 million in funding led by General Catalyst with participation from Y Combinator, Wayfinder Ventures, Andrew Adams (Headway), and Divya Bhatt (Virta).

Finni Health essentially combines intelligent practice management software with an extensive insurance infrastructure to enable providers to get their practice up and running in just 2 weeks rather than months. The company is now live in five states and the company has a goal of expanding across the country.

According to the CDC, one in thirty-six kids is diagnosed with autism in the US today – which is growing by 12% each year. And there are about 40,000 autism providers in the US, growing 10% year over year. However, this is still not enough to meet the increasing demand for this care. There is currently a need for providers to start their own practices and deliver quality autism care, but ABA therapists face major challenges due to geographical constraints, time-intensive administrative tasks, and a lack of financial resources to start up.

Traditionally, ABA therapists have been facing limitations in their practice due to geographical constraints, time-intensive administrative tasks, and a lack of financial resources to start up. But these barriers are shattered with Finni, which is ushering in a new era of accessibility, efficiency, and convenience.

The autism care industry has been growing rapidly due to increasing diagnoses and landmark legislation requiring payors to cover care in every state. And the ABA industry has been the target of private equity with over 200 M&A deals in the past decade. This wave of consolidation has been raising concerns about the quality of care and the prioritization of profits over client well-being. Plus providers want a world where they can have the freedom to focus on their clients, but starting their own practice is costly.

These are some of the key highlights:

— The platform is backed by a team of insurance credentialing experts that will ensure that providers get in-network in the fastest time possible.

— Self-serve software-led family onboarding means most of the manual work to intake kiddos is automated. And families start care 50% faster with providers who run their practice with Finni.

— AI-powered innovative scheduling tools enable the easiest appointment management while also providing providers with real-time reports and metrics to ensure their families and therapists are getting the support they need.

— A modern AI-powered data collection system that always meets the highest clinical standards.

— Guaranteed insurance reimbursements paid out immediately. There is no more waiting for insurance to pay claims and dealing with tedious denials. And providers can get the cash they earn right away to grow their practice without limitations.
