First Horizon announced Leilani Farol has joined the company as senior vice president and chief information security officer, a role in which she will lead the bank’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy and execution and oversee efforts to safeguard client data and privacy.
The company said Farol brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning information security, risk management, and technology, including building security-first cultures and implementing new technologies across financial services organizations in the U.S. and internationally. In the CISO position, she is expected to help advance First Horizon’s security posture as the bank continues to invest in threat detection and response, data governance and privacy, third-party risk management, and cybersecurity training.
Farol most recently served as head of governance, risk, and compliance at Fidelity Investments, where she led execution of a multi-year enterprise-wide cyber strategy. Prior to Fidelity, she was senior vice president of global information security at Bank of America. Earlier in her career, she held several leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co., including executive director, Global Technology; vice president of cybersecurity programs; and vice president, Global Technology Infrastructure.
First Horizon, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, said it had $83.9 billion in assets as of December 31, 2025, and noted that its banking subsidiary operates in 12 states concentrated in the southern U.S. The company offers services across commercial and consumer banking, small business, private banking, wealth and trust management, retail brokerage, capital markets, fixed income, and mortgage banking.
