First Horizon Wealth Management: Eric Teal Named As As CIO

First Horizon Bank announced Eric Teal has joined First Horizon Wealth Management as senior vice president and chief investment officer. In the role, Teal will lead the investment team responsible for setting investment strategy, overseeing portfolio construction, and sharing market insights with wealth management clients.

Teal most recently served as chief investment officer at Comerica, where he also served on the wealth management senior leadership team. Before joining Comerica, he was a managing director and investment manager at U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and previously served as chief investment officer at First Citizens Bank for more than 10 years.

First Horizon said Teal holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from Rhodes College, an MBA in finance from the University of Memphis, and completed an international economics and trade study program at the London School of Economics. The bank added that he is treasurer of the PBS North Carolina Foundation Board and previously served as chairman of the PBS North Carolina Board of Trustees.
