Firstsource Solutions, a business management services provider and an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, said it has acquired TeleMedik, a Puerto Rico-based developer and implementer of healthcare technology solutions, in a move aimed at strengthening its end-to-end clinical and utilization management capabilities and expanding its presence across U.S. healthcare payer and provider networks.
Firstsource said the deal enhances its fully integrated “BPaaS++” offering for health plan clients by combining the company’s AI and automation capabilities with TeleMedik’s operational footprint in Puerto Rico and across the United States. The combined platform is intended to support health plans seeking to modernize medical management workflows—from intake and prior authorization to care coordination, clinical intervention, and ongoing member engagement—without significant in-house investment.
The acquisition comes as health plans face rising utilization and increasing financial pressure, alongside a broader industry shift toward value-based care models that require more personalized, outcomes-focused approaches. Firstsource positioned the transaction as a response to growing demand for digital solutions that improve care coordination, member engagement, and data integration while preserving operational efficiency.
Firstsource said TeleMedik will help deepen its access to the payer-provider ecosystem, particularly through relationships and delivery capabilities in Puerto Rico that can support the growth of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and dual-eligible populations, including Spanish-speaking and underserved communities. The company also said the combined technology stacks are expected to improve speed-to-proficiency in new operations, strengthen quality and clinical consistency, and reduce administrative costs for clients.
