Flam, an AI-powered interactive content company, has raised $40 million in Series B funding led by QED Investors to expand its AI models, product portfolio, and global enterprise sales operation.
The round included Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan and Shahrukh Khan, while existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail increased their backing.
Flam has signed more than 100 enterprise customers in six quarters, including Google, State Farm and Diageo. Companies use its technology across marketing, product visualization, employee learning, entertainment, fan engagement, customer service and sales.
The company holds more than 15 patents and has developed several interactive content technologies. Flicks enables interactive videos where a person, product or scene can change during playback and uses a patented compression system with a 50-millisecond time to first buffer. Forge is an editing model that modifies specified elements within an image while maintaining the rest of the reference.
Airboards provide high-fidelity 3D content through a camera interface with touch, voice, and haptic interactions, while Flam’s streaming architecture can load the experience in approximately 300 milliseconds without requiring an app. Fable generates image-to-video assets as native alpha-channel videos.
Flam is also developing Visual Agents, human-like AI characters capable of engaging in conversations and performing agentic actions. The system combines facial expression, multilingual voice capabilities, and Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts language model, with responses returned in under two seconds.
KEY QUOTES:
“Flam is built on a simple observation. Content has moved in waves, from text to images to video, and every wave flowed one way, creator to viewer. We think interactive is the next default for the internet. The demand was always there. The technology wasn’t. We have made interactivity effortless to build and deploy at enterprise scale.”
Shourya Agarwal, Founder of Flam
“Almost every frontier AI content company we see is optimizing what already exists. Flam pointed at something else: how much of the content ecosystem is still untouched. That gap is bigger than most people think, and Flam is the first team we’ve seen with the infrastructure to go after it.”
