FlexGen Power Systems announced expanded capabilities following its acquisition of Clean Energy Services (CES), which was completed in April. By integrating CES into its portfolio, FlexGen is strengthening its operational and maintenance offerings, expanding field services through a larger domestic servicing team, and enhancing support for battery storage, solar, and hybrid energy projects.

The acquisition brings together FlexGen’s HybridOS® energy management software platform with CES’s field service expertise, creating a more comprehensive solution for customers across project development, commissioning, operations, and long-term asset management. The combined offering is designed to help customers deploy projects faster, improve system reliability, and maximize asset performance over time.

FlexGen said the transaction reinforces its position in the rapidly growing battery energy storage sector, where projects are becoming larger, more complex, and increasingly important for maintaining grid stability. The company noted that customers will benefit from improved operational resilience, enhanced system performance, and broader support across battery, solar, and hybrid energy assets.

The acquisition also expands FlexGen’s OEM partner ecosystem by adding CES’s Authorized Service Provider capabilities. Through CES’s skilled domestic workforce, FlexGen can now provide FEOC-compliant services across multiple battery storage original equipment manufacturers, offering customers greater flexibility and access to domestically sourced servicing options.

In addition, FlexGen has enhanced the capabilities of HybridOS® with new Power Plant Controller functionality aimed at optimizing solar and hybrid energy facilities. Combined with CES’s experience servicing more than 1 GW of solar assets, the company said it can now provide a more seamless experience across the full project lifecycle.

The addition of CES personnel further strengthens FlexGen’s field execution capabilities by expanding regional coverage and increasing service depth. The larger team enables the company to tailor services more effectively to customer needs while supporting faster deployment timelines and higher system availability.

FlexGen currently supports more than 25 GWh of energy storage capacity across more than 200 energy storage systems and serves developers, utilities, government agencies, and industrial customers worldwide.
