FlexGen Power Systems Acquires Clean Energy Services To Expand Battery Storage Services And Reliability Capabilities

By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 3, 2026

FlexGen Power Systems announced it has acquired Clean Energy Services (CES), a provider of battery energy storage system (BESS) and utility-scale solar services, in a move aimed at accelerating battery deployment, expanding lifecycle service offerings, and improving system reliability across its growing customer base.

The acquisition strengthens FlexGen’s position in the energy storage market by integrating CES’s commissioning, maintenance, and remote operations expertise with FlexGen’s software-driven platform. The combined company will target a broader range of customers, including utilities, independent power producers, and data centers, where demand for reliable, high-performance power continues to rise.

CES brings significant operational scale to the transaction, with services spanning more than 1 GW of solar assets and over 4.5 GWh of battery storage systems. The company has also commissioned more than 15 GWh of battery projects, establishing itself as a leader in battery storage services. Its capabilities will enhance FlexGen’s ability to deliver faster project timelines while maintaining high system availability over the full lifecycle of energy assets.

As part of the integration, CES’s commissioning and lifecycle service teams will be incorporated into FlexGen’s operations, enabling improved execution in the field and stronger long-term asset performance. The deal also expands FlexGen’s OEM partner ecosystem by adding CES’s authorized service provider capabilities, complementing its existing software-focused relationships.

The combined platform will also enhance FlexGen’s HybridOS and Solar PPC offerings by incorporating CES’s solar servicing expertise, allowing for more comprehensive support of hybrid and solar-plus-storage projects. CES will continue operating as a subsidiary of FlexGen, maintaining its existing customer relationships and service continuity, while offering customers access to FlexGen’s HybridOS energy management system.

Operationally, CES will retain its remote operations center in Houston, while FlexGen will continue running its Durham-based center, together providing 24/7 monitoring, diagnostics, and field service dispatch. FlexGen noted that its systems currently deliver approximately 98 percent availability, and the addition of CES is expected to further strengthen performance and reliability metrics.

FlexGen brings more than 15 years of experience in energy storage integration and currently supports over 25 GWh of energy storage systems across more than 200 projects globally.
