Flexiv: Investment Raised To Scale Global Deployment Of Adaptive Robotics

Flexiv, a general-purpose robotics company, announced it has secured a new strategic investment led by Invus, with participation from existing investors, as it looks to expand its global footprint and accelerate development of its adaptive robotics technology.

The company specializes in adaptive robots powered by proprietary force-sensing technology and embodied AI, enabling machines to operate in unstructured environments and perform complex, contact-rich tasks that traditionally required human labor. Unlike conventional robots that rely on preprogrammed motion paths, Flexiv’s systems can adjust in real time to environmental changes.

The newly raised capital will be used to expand research and development capabilities while building out a broader global sales and service infrastructure. Flexiv already has a strong presence in North America and China and is now extending operations across Europe and other parts of Asia.

Founded nearly a decade ago, Flexiv has developed a portfolio that includes robot arms, grippers, autonomous mobile robots, and delta robots. Its technology aims to bridge digital intelligence with physical execution, allowing robots to work alongside humans to improve efficiency and safety in industrial and manufacturing environments.

Invus, the lead investor, is a global investment firm with more than $12 billion in assets under management and a long-term investment approach through its evergreen capital structure. The firm focuses on partnering with companies over extended periods, supporting sustained growth rather than short-term exits.

Flexiv’s leadership said the investment reflects growing confidence in its approach to building robots capable of operating in real-world conditions and tackling tasks that have historically resisted automation.

KEY QUOTES

“Our technology has enabled us to expand from our roots in California to a global stage. The goal has always been to build robots that can operate in the real world and solve challenges that traditional automation cannot. I’m proud to say we’ve achieved that. This investment allows us to scale our global footprint while doubling down on long-term technical development as we build the infrastructure of the future.”
