FlyHouse To Buy Sun Air Jets, Expanding Vertically Integrated Private Aviation Ecosystem

By Amit Chowdhry ● Oct 19, 2025

FlyHouse, a technology-driven private aviation company transforming the jet charter experience, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Sun Air Jets, a Southern California-based aircraft management and charter operator. The strategic acquisition strengthens FlyHouse’s vertically integrated aviation platform by adding Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 Repair Station certification, expanding its managed fleet, and enhancing infrastructure at key West Coast airports.

The acquisition underscores FlyHouse’s mission to combine transparency, technology, and premium service into a single ecosystem that simplifies and elevates private air travel. Upon closing, Sun Air Jets’ operations and personnel will be fully integrated into the FlyHouse network, expanding the company’s footprint across major U.S. aviation hubs while maintaining its commitment to safety, compliance, and exceptional client experience.

The transaction will deliver significant operational advantages across multiple fronts:

  1. Fleet and Management Expansion: The addition of multiple super-mid and large-cabin aircraft will grow FlyHouse’s owned and managed fleet, complementing its global charter network of more than 2,000 accessible aircraft. The expanded fleet increases flexibility and responsiveness for diverse mission requirements across distance, passenger capacity, and performance categories.
  2. Infrastructure and Facilities: FlyHouse will assume hangar, ramp, and support facilities at Van Nuys and Camarillo Airports, including Sun Air Jets’ Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) in Camarillo. The expanded footprint will enable more efficient aircraft servicing, crew operations, and customer support across the West Coast.
  3. FAA Part 145 Repair Station Certification: Sun Air Jets’ certified maintenance and repair station brings in-house maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities to FlyHouse. This allows direct oversight of inspections, maintenance, and component work—ensuring quality control while also opening a new business line for third-party maintenance services.
  4. Safety and Regulatory Standards: FlyHouse will adopt Sun Air Jets’ Argus Platinum, IS-BAO, and Wyvern Wingman certifications, reinforcing its standing as a safety-first operator meeting the highest global compliance standards.

The merger also supports FlyHouse’s global expansion strategy, aligning its maintenance, safety, and operational protocols with European certification requirements and international regulatory frameworks. More than 100 experienced aviation professionals from Sun Air Jets will join FlyHouse as part of the integration, adding technical, operational, and service expertise to the growing organization.

This acquisition reflects FlyHouse’s broader ambition to build the first fully integrated ecosystem in private aviation: one that owns its infrastructure and utilizes technology throughout the value chain. It provides an end-to-end service experience with seamless connectivity between booking, flight operations, and maintenance.
