Focus, a unified healthcare technology partner delivering managed IT, security, and data services, announced it has acquired Progressive Solutions, a dental IT services company founded in 2000 and headquartered in Fenton, Missouri. The transaction, which closed in January, represents Focus’s first expansion into the dental sector and strengthens its broader push to serve healthcare practices across specialties.
Progressive Solutions brings 25 years of experience supporting dental practices, along with three specialized technology offerings: Dental Backup, an automated, encrypted backup and recovery solution; Dental Secure Mail, a HIPAA-compliant email encryption platform tailored for dental workflows; and MyBridge Communications, a VoIP and telecommunications system used by more than 6,000 users. All three brands will continue operating under their existing names within the Focus platform.
The acquisition addresses the growing operational and regulatory challenges dental practices face, including rising cybersecurity threats, increasingly stringent HIPAA compliance requirements, and fragmented technology management across multiple vendors. Focus aims to streamline these complexities by offering a unified platform that integrates IT, security, and data services under a single provider and accountability structure.
Progressive Solutions will continue serving its existing dental clients across Missouri and Illinois under its current brand through 2026, supported by Focus’s broader capabilities. Outside those regions, services will be delivered under the Focus brand. The deal aligns with Focus’s long-term strategy to expand its healthcare technology footprint nationwide.
Focus positions itself as a single-source partner for healthcare organizations, supporting more than 100 electronic health record and practice management systems while helping practices stabilize infrastructure, improve security, and enable growth.
