Foley Adds Corporate Partners Brad Drake And Kyle Pine In Chicago And Boston

Foley & Lardner has added Brad Drake and Kyle Pine as corporate partners, expanding its capabilities across insurance transactions, structured finance, private capital and transactional tax. The additions bring Foley to more than 20 lateral partner hires in 2026.

Drake joins the firm’s Insurance Practice Group in Chicago, while Pine joins the Tax Practice Group in Boston.

Drake joins from Paul Hastings and advises insurers, reinsurers, asset managers, private capital sponsors and other market participants.

His work spans acquisitions, structured finance, insurance-linked transactions, private equity and alternative asset management, as well as alternative risk transfer transactions, reserve financings and securitizations involving insurance assets.

Pine joins Foley from Goodwin Procter and advises private equity firms, venture capital funds, and public and private companies on federal tax matters.

His practice includes M&A, partnerships, joint ventures, financings, corporate restructurings and domestic and international tax planning.

Pine also has significant experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on middle-market transactions.

Foley has approximately 1,100 lawyers across 27 offices worldwide.
