Foley Adds Stephen Olson As Corporate Partner To Expand Private Capital And Energy Capabilities

Foley & Lardner has added Stephen Olson as a partner in its Transactions Practice Group, expanding the firm’s private capital capabilities and its national Energy & Infrastructure Sector.

Olson joins Foley from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Houston and advises on sophisticated private equity transactions and related corporate matters.

His clients include private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, public and private businesses and investment banking firms.

Olson’s practice covers mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, registered offerings, private placements of debt and equity securities, corporate governance and related strategic matters.

His sector experience includes energy, industrials, chemicals, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, financial services, media and telecommunications.

Olson is the fourth new partner to join Foley’s Energy & Infrastructure Sector during 2026 as the firm builds its capabilities across the energy asset lifecycle.
