Forgent Power Solutions has appointed Amy Ard as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Ryan Fiedler, who will step down from the role and transition to an external consulting position.
Ard has served as Forgent’s Executive Vice President of Finance since January and has been part of the company’s leadership team since its founding. In her current role, she has overseen financial planning, reporting, treasury, and operational finance.
She also played a central role in Forgent’s initial public offering, helping establish the financial and governance processes required for the company to operate as a publicly traded business.
Ard brings more than 25 years of senior finance and accounting experience across public and private companies. She began her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Fiedler will continue working with Ard and the broader Forgent team during the transition period before moving into his external consulting role.
During his tenure as Chief Financial Officer, Fiedler helped strengthen Forgent’s finance organization and supported the company through its initial public offering and a record fiscal 2026.
Forgent said Fiedler’s transition will allow him to spend more time with his family while continuing to provide support to the company.
The leadership change comes as Forgent continues expanding its business as a U.S. designer and manufacturer of electrical distribution equipment used in data centers, the power grid, and energy-intensive industrial facilities.
The company specializes in engineered-to-order electrical distribution products designed for technically demanding applications. Forgent serves customers requiring customized power infrastructure for data centers and large manufacturing facilities.
The company said Ard’s operational finance background and experience helping build Forgent’s financial infrastructure position her to guide the finance organization through its next phase of growth.
