Fortra, a cybersecurity software and services provider, announced it has acquired Zero-Point Security, a UK-based cybersecurity training firm specializing in red team operations and adversary simulation.

The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Fortra’s offensive security training portfolio by integrating Zero-Point Security’s expertise in red team operations, penetration testing, and adversary emulation. The move will also enhance training offerings tied to Fortra’s security tools, including Cobalt Strike, Core Impact, and Outflank Security tooling.

Zero-Point Security, founded in 2018, has built a strong reputation for its self-paced, advanced cybersecurity training programs designed to simulate real-world attack scenarios. Its flagship courses, Red Team Operations I and II, are CREST-certified and help participants earn the Certified Red Team Operator credential, a widely recognized cybersecurity industry credential.

Through the acquisition, Fortra plans to expand the global reach of these training programs while developing new courses aligned with its offensive security tools. The integration is also expected to support organizations in adopting a “purple-team” approach, combining offensive and defensive strategies to improve cyber resilience.

Fortra CEO Matthew Reck said the acquisition reflects the company’s commitment to advancing offensive security as a core component of modern cybersecurity strategies. By incorporating Zero-Point Security’s training capabilities, Fortra aims to help organizations better prepare for evolving cyber threats and improve their overall defensive posture.

The companies have previously collaborated on training initiatives, particularly around Cobalt Strike, and the acquisition formalizes and expands that relationship. Moving forward, Fortra plans to introduce more advanced training programs tied to its security platforms.

Zero-Point Security will continue to play a key role in shaping Fortra’s training offerings, leveraging its expertise to deliver practical, adversary-focused education to cybersecurity professionals worldwide.
