The Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit focused on expanding access to pro bono financial planning for people in crisis or need, announced its 2026 Board of Trustees leadership and the election of five new trustees for the 2026–2028 term.

Yonhee Choi Gordon, CFP, began her term as Chair of FFP’s Board of Trustees for 2026. Gordon has served on the board since 2021 and previously held leadership posts including Vice Chair and Chair of the Grants Committee. Terri Fiedler, CRPC, CIMA, President of Retirement Services at Corebridge Financial, was elected Vice Chair and is slated to assume the Chair role in 2027. Fiedler has served as a trustee since 2011 and as Co-Chair of FFP’s Corporate Advisory Council since 2019.

FFP also added five new trustees: Yusuf Abugideiri, CFP, Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Yeske Buie; Jon Beatty, Managing Director and Head of Schwab Advisor Services at Charles Schwab; Ryan Fleming, CFP, Principal at Armstrong, Fleming & Moore, Inc.; Kate Healy, CEO of AdvoKate IQ, LLC; and Stacey McKinnon, CFP, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Partner at Morton Wealth.

FFP CEO Jon Dauphiné said the organization is building momentum for the pro bono movement nationwide and pointed to the incoming leadership team and new trustees as additions that broaden perspective across the financial planning profession. Beatty, who leads Schwab Advisor Services, highlighted Schwab’s longstanding partnership with FFP and emphasized the organization’s focus on the impact of financial advice delivered in service of those in need.

The foundation also recognized outgoing Chair Tony Svach, who will remain on FFP’s board and Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chair. Dauphiné additionally noted the retirement of FFP co-founder and longest-serving trustee Alexandra Armstrong, CFP, who stepped down from the board in 2025 after three decades of involvement.

Gordon recently retired after a long career at JMG Financial Group, where she served in multiple leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer, overseeing employee development, operations, and strategic initiatives, and supporting the firm’s community service efforts. A CFP professional, she was named one of InvestmentNews’ 2018 “Women to Watch,” serves on the boards of The Chicago Network and Dominican University, and is an active speaker within the Korean-American community.

Fiedler has served as President of Retirement Services at Corebridge Financial since 2022. Previously, she was President and CEO of AIG Financial Distributors and, before joining AIG in 2012, held senior leadership roles at Invesco and AIM Distributors. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and holds the CRPC and CIMA designations.

Among the new trustees, Abugideiri is Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Yeske Buie and has been a financial planner since 2009, with recognitions from Forbes, Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, and InvestmentNews. He has served within the Financial Planning Association and contributed to the CFP Board’s Workforce Development Advisory Group. Beatty is a member of Schwab’s Executive Council and oversees the business supporting more than 16,000 independent advisory firms managing $5.0 trillion in assets, with 28 years at Schwab and 16 years in Advisor Services leadership roles. Fleming brings more than 30 years in the profession and is a past president and chairman of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area, as well as a recipient of the Norma Severns Leadership Award in 2016. Healy founded AdvoKate IQ, LLC in 2023 after more than three decades in leadership, marketing, talent development, and practice management, and has held senior roles at TD Ameritrade Institutional, Merrill Lynch, and MetLife, in addition to serving in multiple leadership roles with FFP. McKinnon has spent more than a decade at Morton Wealth, where she has helped grow the firm to over $3 billion in assets under management and has focused on strategic planning, brand development, and client experience.

FFP said its pro bono work supports people in crisis or need, including active military members and wounded veterans, people with cancer and other serious illness, seniors and family caregivers, low-income individuals and families, and domestic violence survivors. Over more than 30 years, FFP reported providing nearly $11 million in grants to national and community-based pro bono programs, activating more than 30,000 financial planners to volunteer, and reaching more than 765,000 people in need.
