Foundation Source has appointed Manu Sood as Chief Technology Officer and Hetal Patel as Head of Product, expanding its technology and product leadership as the company invests in AI and its PhilTech platform.
Foundation Source provides philanthropic solutions across private foundations, donor-advised funds and planned giving for donors, nonprofits, institutions and wealth advisors.
Sood brings 26 years of technology leadership experience spanning fintech, digital banking and enterprise technology.
She most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at AvidXchange, where she led enterprise technology operations and AI transformation. She previously held technology leadership positions at Varo Bank, Western Governors University and Rio Tinto.
As CTO, Sood will lead Foundation Source’s technology organization and work with the company’s product and business teams on technology strategy, platform development and opportunities to use data and AI.
Patel joins Foundation Source with 18 years of product leadership experience across fintech, private wealth and enterprise software.
Most recently, she served as Managing Director of Product Strategy at CIBC, where she led a $20 million portfolio of wealth management platforms serving ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices.
Patel previously launched AI-based products at Northern Trust and held product leadership positions at AT&T.
In the newly created Head of Product role, Patel will oversee product strategy and execution across Foundation Source’s offerings, including private foundations, donor-advised funds and planned giving.
