Foxglove announced it has raised $40 million in Series B funding to accelerate development of its data and observability platform for Physical AI. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with continued support from Eclipse and Amplify Partners.
The investment will enable Foxglove to expand its platform capabilities across the entire data lifecycle, from development and testing to large-scale deployment, solidifying its role as a foundational infrastructure provider for robotics and autonomous systems.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Foxglove has rapidly become a trusted platform for tens of thousands of developers across various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, transportation, agriculture, aerospace, and defense. Its customers include major technology and industrial players like NVIDIA, Amazon, Anduril, Wayve, and Dexterity. The company’s platform enables developers to collect, analyze, and learn from multimodal data, which is essential for training and deploying robots in complex real-world environments.
Foxglove’s suite of products addresses the distinctive demands of Physical AI systems, including massive datasets, multimodal sensor inputs, bandwidth limitations, and the need for precise time synchronization. Its MCAP open-source standard, launched in 2022, has been widely adopted across the Physical AI ecosystem and integrated with ROS 2 and NVIDIA Isaac frameworks. The company’s Data Platform offers petabyte-scale data storage, search, and query capabilities, supporting deployment in cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments. Foxglove’s visualization tools also allow developers to analyze 3D, video, audio, GNSS, and time-series data through an interactive workspace designed for collaboration and debugging.
Foxglove plans to use the new funding to expand its visualization and data management capabilities, enhancing support for customers throughout the development and operational phases of AI-driven robotics. The company’s goal is to empower robotics developers to focus on domain-specific innovation while relying on Foxglove to manage the underlying data infrastructure essential for scaling Physical AI.
