By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 8, 2025

Fracttal is a 100% cloud-based platform that integrates asset management software, IoT, and artificial intelligence. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Fracttal co-founder and CEO Christian Struve to learn more about the company.

Christian Struve’s Background

What is Christian Struve’s background? Struve said:

“I wrote my first lines of code at age 10, and that early passion for technology shaped my career. After earning a degree in Computer Science, I started in the oil and gas industry, where I had my first real exposure to maintenance management—quickly realizing how outdated these systems were.”

“I later joined PwC as a consultant, specializing in ERP and maintenance solutions, before transitioning into a CIO role in manufacturing, where I led large-scale digital transformation projects. But in 2008, everything changed—I became a father and decided to take control of my future by launching my own consulting firm, focusing on CMMS implementations. Over the next several years, I worked on 300+ projects across multiple industries, optimizing maintenance operations through technology.”

“Everywhere I looked, I saw the same problem: asset management was stuck in the past. Companies were still relying on spreadsheets and outdated systems that couldn’t keep up with modern industry demands. But I didn’t just see a challenge—I saw a massive opportunity.”

“That’s why I founded Fracttal—to revolutionize maintenance and asset management with AI, IoT, and cloud technology, helping companies shift from reactive maintenance to predictive intelligence.”

Evolution Of Fracttal’s Thesis

Many businesses were hesitant about digital transformation, so we focused on education—offering demos, case studies, and hands-on workshops to showcase the value of our technology. Another major challenge was expanding internationally, understanding local markets, their unique characteristics, and how we could succeed in each. Our strategy has always been to prioritize winning in markets where we have a direct presence.”

Future Company Goals

“Our vision is to become the global leader in maintenance management solutions. In the short to medium term, we are focused on enhancing AI and IoT integration to further optimize maintenance operations, expanding our global footprint, particularly in Europe, and raising a new funding round to accelerate growth and technological innovation. Ultimately, our goal is to redefine asset management, making it smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient for businesses worldwide.”
