Francisco Partners announced that it has acquired EfficientIP, a Paris-based provider of DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management solutions and DNS security technology.
EfficientIP was acquired from its founders and minority investors TempoCap and Jolt Capital, in partnership with the company’s management team. As part of the deal, Norman Girard will continue leading EfficientIP as CEO, while founders Jean-Yves Bisiaux, Sylvain Galliano, and Ronan David have reinvested in the company. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2004, EfficientIP helps organizations simplify, secure, and automate critical network infrastructure services through an integrated DDI and DNS security platform. The company’s technology is designed to help enterprises improve operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity, increase infrastructure visibility, and maintain operational resilience as they modernize hybrid, multi-cloud, and AI-enabled environments.
EfficientIP serves more than 1,500 customers worldwide across industries such as financial services, telecommunications, energy, retail, education, and the public sector. The company has approximately 220 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Francisco Partners plans to work closely with EfficientIP’s management team to build on the company’s market position and support its next phase of growth. The investment firm said it will help EfficientIP scale its operations, expand its global presence, and enhance its product offerings while continuing to support customers worldwide.
The acquisition also reinforces Francisco Partners’ focus on infrastructure and security software companies. Francisco Partners has invested in more than 500 technology companies since its launch more than 25 years ago and has raised over $50 billion in capital to date.
Arma Partners and IA Global Capital served as financial advisors to EfficientIP, TempoCap, and Jolt Capital, while Jones Day served as legal counsel. GP Bullhound served as financial advisor to Francisco Partners, and Paul Hastings served as legal counsel.
