Franklin Templeton announced that Rich Nuzum, former Executive Director of Investments at Mercer, has joined Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) as Head of OCIO. Nuzum will be based in New York and report directly to Adam Petryk, Head of Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions.
Nuzum will lead the development and expansion of FTIS’s OCIO business, building on the firm’s successful solutions growth over the past several years. As clients increasingly utilize Franklin Templeton’s extensive investment capabilities, FTIS plays a strategic role as a gateway to these resources. Growing the OCIO business is a natural extension of this strategy.
Nuzum joins Franklin Templeton from Mercer, where he spent more than 30 years providing investment consulting advice to institutional investors. He holds an MBA in analytic finance and accounting from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences and mathematical economic analysis from Rice University. He also completed graduate work in international economics at Tokyo University. Nuzum is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
