Freecash Surpasses $500 Million In User Payouts And Reaches $1 Billion Annual Revenue Run Rate

Freecash, the flagship rewards platform of Berlin-based adtech company Almedia, has surpassed $500 million in global user payouts while reaching a $1 billion annual revenue run rate.

The revenue milestone represents substantial growth from the $330 million generated by Almedia in 2025. The company said Freecash has scaled by offering users rewards for discovering and engaging with games and apps while giving advertisers a performance-oriented alternative to traditional digital advertising.

Freecash now has more than nine million people earning rewards through the platform each month. More than one million users have earned over $100, while more than 70,000 users have received more than $1,000 in rewards. Across its broader network, Almedia said Freecash has connected with more than 95 million users globally.

The platform uses a recommendation system that learns from how users interact with offers and attempts to match them with games and applications they are more likely to engage with. Almedia said this approach can help advertisers acquire users who remain active for longer while sharing a portion of the resulting value with users through rewards.

Almedia cited customer results including mobile game developer Superbox, which recorded up to two times the day-30 return on advertising spend for Jewels Jungle compared with non-rewarded acquisition channels. Ovivo also recorded an estimated 16.8% increase in lifetime value across 24 titles using Almedia Link.

Freecash has distributed rewards across 217 countries and territories. The U.S. represents 57.9% of lifetime payout value, followed by Germany at 9.7%, the UK at 8.2%, Canada at 3.7%, and France at 3.2%. Casual puzzle and word games generate some of the highest payout activity, with titles including Merge Restaurant, Word Farm Adventure, Word Collect, and Office Cat among the platform’s most popular games.

Almedia said it is generating more than $6.8 million in revenue per employee in 2026. Founded in 2020, the company is profitable and has not raised outside capital. In addition to Freecash, Almedia operates Link, a monetization platform designed to help mobile publishers increase incremental revenue and lifetime value.

Almedia operates globally with offices in Berlin, New York, Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul as it continues expanding its rewards, user acquisition, and mobile monetization businesses.
