FreightWise, a transportation technology and managed transportation services provider, announced the appointment of Chris Haarmeyer as chief technology officer as the company expands its investment in artificial intelligence and platform innovation.
Haarmeyer joins the executive leadership team to help guide FreightWise’s multi-year technology strategy, which centers on advancing AI capabilities and expanding functionality across the FreightWise and Kuebix transportation management system platforms. In his new role, he will lead product vision and technology development for Kuebix TMS while overseeing broader strategic innovation initiatives designed to strengthen the platform’s capabilities for small and mid-market shippers.
The company said Haarmeyer brings extensive experience in transportation technology and was previously a founding member of a leading transportation management system provider. During his career, he helped develop scalable logistics solutions tailored to shippers, third-party logistics providers, and freight brokers, with a focus on building flexible technology platforms that can adapt to rapidly evolving supply chain needs.
At FreightWise, Haarmeyer will help accelerate development across the Kuebix platform, including new AI-driven features and functional enhancements. The company said these investments are intended to reinforce its integrated ecosystem that combines transportation management software with managed transportation services.
FreightWise manages more than $1 billion in annual freight and provides a range of logistics services, including multimodal carrier contracting, freight audit and payment, and supply chain consulting. Its Kuebix by FreightWise platform is designed to give small and mid-sized shippers an intuitive system for managing truckload, less-than-truckload, and parcel shipping operations, while helping businesses streamline logistics processes and reduce transportation costs.
