Frontier Developments reported fiscal 2026 revenue of £104.8 million, up 16%, as the success of Jurassic World Evolution 3 and continued demand for its Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo franchises drove record profitability.
Adjusted operating profit increased 62% to a company-record £21.4 million, while statutory operating profit nearly doubled, rising 97% to £25 million. Basic earnings per share increased 76% to 74.6 pence, and the company ended May with £44 million of cash.
Frontier’s Creative Management Simulation portfolio accounted for 89% of total revenue, up from 77% a year earlier. Jurassic World Evolution 3 was the primary growth driver, supported by the long-term performance of Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo and earlier Jurassic World Evolution titles. Elite Dangerous also generated another year of revenue growth.
The company invested £15.5 million in share repurchases during the year, reducing total voting rights by approximately 10%. Frontier said that lower share count should provide an approximately 11% enhancement to earnings per share in fiscal 2027 and beyond.
Cash increased further to £51.4 million by August 31, prompting the board to declare a £5 million special dividend, equivalent to 14.1 pence per share, payable October 9.
Frontier’s fiscal 2027 release slate includes Planet Zoo 2 on October 13, 2026, and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch before the end of the fiscal year. A new internally owned Planet franchise is in full development for fiscal 2028.
The company also recently signed an agreement with Disney to develop and publish a new game using Disney intellectual property, further expanding Frontier’s longer-term development pipeline.
Frontier’s leadership structure has also evolved. Jo Cooke became CEO in January 2026, Dan Lazarides joined as Chief Marketing Officer in August, and Founder David Braben will transition to a Non-Executive Director position on October 1 while retaining his President and Founder roles.
