Frontline Wildfire Defense, a leader in proactive wildfire defense technology for homes, businesses, and communities, has raised $48 million in a Series A round led by Norwest. The funding—comprising both primary and secondary capital—will expand Frontline’s operations across fire-prone U.S. regions amid an era of escalating wildfire risk and insurance market instability.
Frontline’s patented defense system integrates data, sensors, water, and foam delivery, and remote operation to protect properties from ember ignition—the top cause of home loss during wildfires. The system functions independently of damaged municipal infrastructure using satellite connectivity and backup power.
During the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, Frontline systems protected 61 homes in heavily impacted neighborhoods, achieving a 96% survival rate. As wildfires continue to destroy thousands of structures and drive insurers out of high-risk regions, demand for preventive technology like Frontline’s has surged.
The company, headquartered in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, partners with leading builders and architects, including Burdge Architects, Sekisui House U.S., and Thomas James Homes. Frontline’s growth and innovation have earned national recognition, including TIME’s “Best Inventions of 2025” and awards from the International Builders’ Show and Pacific Coast Builders Conference.
KEY QUOTES:
“The Los Angeles fires demonstrated what we’ve always believed, that proactive, technology-driven wildfire defense works. While traditional approaches focus on reaction and recovery, we’re enabling communities to live safely with wildfire through prevention and preparation. Our approach is proactive and adaptive, working with natural processes rather than against them. This round of funding will accelerate our ability to scale protection for thousands of at-risk homeowners and businesses.”
Harry Statter, CEO and Founder, Frontline Wildfire Defense
“We see tremendous opportunity for Frontline’s proven technology to transform how communities prepare for and respond to wildfire threats. The company’s proactive approach to making homes and communities inherently fire-resilient represents the future of wildfire defense. We look forward to supporting Harry and the Frontline team as they bring this solution to more people, businesses, and neighborhoods.”
