Frore Systems and Lenovo have unveiled the AeroBlade concept notebook, featuring Lenovo’s Active Flow Thermal Solution powered by Frore Systems’ AirJet solid-state active cooling technology.
The companies introduced the concept at Lenovo Innovation World ’26 in Berlin, calling it the world’s first ultra-slim, ultra-quiet notebook with AirJet solid-state active cooling.
Lenovo’s AeroBlade concept is designed to demonstrate how solid-state cooling can enable thinner, lighter and quieter high-performance notebook computers.
The system uses Frore Systems’ AirJet Mini, a solid-state cooling chip designed to remove heat from compact electronics without traditional mechanical fans.
Frore said the technology is particularly relevant as edge AI shifts from relatively simple inference toward more compute-intensive AI reasoning models and agentic workloads that can sustain higher processor utilization for longer periods.
AirJet Mini can dissipate 7.5 watts of heat, representing a 50% increase over AirJet Mini G1, while measuring only 27 millimeters by 41.5 millimeters by 2.65 millimeters.
The device produces approximately 2,000 Pa of back pressure, about 10 times that of a fan, and operates at approximately 21 dBA in a system.
Because AirJet has no moving mechanical parts, Frore said it can support silent, vibration-free designs while enabling products with dustproof and water-resistant characteristics.
Frore sees the technology extending beyond notebooks into tablets, Mini PCs, smartphones, 5G Wi-Fi hotspots, cameras, SSDs and industrial and consumer IoT devices.
The AeroBlade concept is being showcased in Berlin on September 3, 2026.
