FuriosaAI Raises $620 Million Series D At About $2.9 Billion Valuation

FuriosaAI has completed a $620 million Series D financing at an approximately $2.9 billion post-money valuation as the South Korean AI semiconductor company scales production and deployment of its RNGD inference accelerator. The round included global investors such as Infinitum, Jericho Capital, QUDA Capital, Cisco Investments, Worldline Capital, and NeoFort Holding alongside Korean institutional investors.

South Korea’s National Growth Fund contributed $280 million, making it the largest investor in the round.

International investors contributed $110 million, while existing shareholders invested another $125 million.

The financing will support increased production of RNGD, expansion of FuriosaAI’s software ecosystem, and development of its third-generation AI accelerator.

FuriosaAI expects to produce approximately 20,000 RNGD accelerators during 2026 and plans to more than double output to over 40,000 units in 2027.

The company’s enterprise deployments include LG Group, which runs EXAONE workloads on RNGD, Upstage, which uses the accelerator for live search summarization, and Samsung SDS, which launched an NPU-as-a-service offering based on RNGD.

RNGD entered mass production in January 2026.

The accelerator uses FuriosaAI’s proprietary Tensor Contraction Processor architecture, which is designed to improve inference efficiency by reducing data movement and operating within conventional data center power and cooling constraints.

The company says its 180-watt, air-cooled RNGD card can provide throughput comparable to GPUs consuming more than twice as much power.

FuriosaAI is also collaborating with Broadcom on its third-generation accelerator for hyperscale infrastructure.

Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in Seoul and maintains offices in the U.S., Portugal, and Singapore.
