G&A Partners announced it has acquired Ethan Allen HR Services, an IRS-certified professional employer organization based in Poughkeepsie, New York, in a deal aimed at expanding G&A’s footprint in the Hudson Valley and broadening its HR, benefits, and technology offerings for small and mid-sized businesses.
The transaction adds a long-tenured regional CPEO to G&A’s Northeast platform and brings Ethan Allen HR Services’ client service team into G&A’s national infrastructure. Financial terms were not disclosed.
G&A said the acquisition expands its employee benefits carrier lineup by adding Anthem group medical plans alongside its existing Aetna and Cigna offerings. The company also said Ethan Allen clients will gain access to expanded HR technology tools and a broader range of benefits options supported by G&A’s national service model.
Ethan Allen HR Services traces its roots to 1992 in New York’s Hudson Valley and has provided HR outsourcing services for decades, including payroll and HR administration, benefits administration, recruitment support, and compliance services. The company highlighted client retention as a core strength, citing customer relationships that have spanned multiple decades.
As part of the transaction, Ethan Allen HR Services President Dean Domenico is expected to shift his focus to growing Ethan Allen Staffing and Ethan Allen Recruitment, which will continue as independent companies under their current ownership. Domenico said he plans to support a smooth transition for HR clients moving to G&A.
G&A Partners, headquartered in Houston, positions the deal as part of its broader growth strategy and continued expansion in the Northeast. The company said it was named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for a record-setting 20th time and that, following the acquisition, it provides HR services, benefits, and technology to more than 6,000 clients and approximately 130,000 worksite employees nationwide.
