GAF Partners announced the acquisition of Hydrex Pest Control Co. of San Diego & Imperial Counties, one of the longest-operating pest and termite control providers in Southern California. Founded in 1921, Hydrex has served residential and commercial customers across San Diego and Imperial Counties for more than a century.
The acquisition combines GAF Partners’ new ownership team with the longstanding Hydrex brand and operational staff. The company provides residential pest control, rodent control and exclusion, termite treatment, and wood repair services throughout the region.
According to the announcement, the new ownership team sees significant organic growth opportunities within the San Diego and Imperial County pest control and termite markets. GAF Partners also expects to pursue acquisitions of complementary businesses serving the broader San Diego area.
Hydrex will continue operating under its existing brand name, and all field technicians, customer service personnel, and operational employees will remain with the company following the transaction.
Jonathan Kaplan, the company’s new CEO, emphasized the longstanding customer relationships established by Hydrex and said the company intends to preserve that legacy while continuing to serve local residents.
Brant Claussen, who joins the company as Senior Vice President, noted that Hydrex has built enduring customer relationships over decades of service and said the company plans to expand awareness of the business throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.
