Galdera Labs, a Stockholm-based financial modeling platform powered by artificial intelligence, has raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding to advance its technology designed to move finance teams beyond traditional spreadsheet-based workflows.
The round was led by J12 Ventures, with participation from Antler and a group of strategic angel investors with backgrounds at companies including Klarna, Stripe, DeepL, and Plata. The company plans to use the funding to further develop its platform and expand its capabilities for enterprise finance teams.
Founded by Evan Rumpza, Mattia Scolari, and Giovanni Casula, Galdera is building a modeling engine that combines statistical ground truth with transparent executive assumptions, enabling version control, audit traceability, and more dynamic decision-making. The platform is designed to help organizations transition from static reporting toward reasoning-driven financial modeling, allowing teams to better answer strategic questions tied to growth, forecasting, and capital planning.
The company draws on experience working with high-growth technology firms and Fortune 500 organizations, where financial modeling has traditionally been constrained by fragmented tools and manual processes. By embedding artificial intelligence into the modeling layer, Galdera aims to turn financial models into a form of institutional memory that supports both human operators and automated agents.
Galdera says it is already partnering with forward-looking finance teams across Europe to streamline processes such as budgeting cycles, strategic planning, and IPO preparation, with the goal of enabling finance leaders to focus more on high-level decision-making rather than model maintenance.
KEY QUOTES:
“The Galdera team has already built a powerful modeling engine in one of Europe’s most demanding financial environments. Now they’re pushing the frontier of how AI — built on a strong foundation of data, memory and context — can transform how companies plan, forecast and grow. They’re building with real ambition and craft, and we’re delighted to support them.”
Emmet King, Partner at J12 Ventures
“Evan, Mattia & Gio embody the best type of founders we have in the Stockholm ecosystem – spinning out from extremely relevant experience at Klarna. We feel fortunate to back a team with such a perfect background to tackle this problem for FP&A teams all over the world.”
