Gambit Cyber, a Leiden, Netherlands-based startup focused on AI-native preemptive cybersecurity, has raised $3.4 million in seed funding to expand its KnightGuard continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) platform. The round was led by Expeditions, with participation from Bitdefender Voyager Ventures, the early-stage investment arm of cybersecurity company Bitdefender.
The company said the financing will support platform enhancements, international expansion, and strategic partnerships. KnightGuard is designed to help organizations continuously identify, validate, and reduce cyber risk by using a coordinated mesh of specialized AI agents alongside integrated security capabilities to prioritize exposures and mobilize remediation before attackers can exploit gaps.
Gambit Cyber reported early traction with enterprise adopters and managed security service providers across financial services, telecom, and critical infrastructure, including deployments in India, the UAE, and Europe. The company is headquartered in the Netherlands and said it has teams and channel partners operating in the UK, the UAE, Australia, and India, reflecting growing demand for CTEM capabilities across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
The funding arrives as more enterprises adopt CTEM approaches to address an expanding attack surface, the rise of AI-enabled threat actors, and ongoing shortages of skilled cybersecurity personnel. Gambit Cyber said it will use the new capital to scale product engineering, expand its library of AI agents, and deepen partnerships with MSSPs, telecom providers, and cloud platforms as it grows its presence across Europe, the UAE, and Asia-Pacific.
