GC AI, the rapidly growing AI platform designed specifically for in-house legal teams, has raised $60 million in Series B funding led by Scale Venture Partners and Northzone, with participation from Sound Ventures, Aglaé Ventures, SilverCircle Partners, News Corp, The Council, and strategic investors including Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel. The funding round values the company at $555 million, bringing its total funding to $73 million.

The new capital will accelerate GC AI’s product development, expand enterprise capabilities, and enhance integrations, agents, and accuracy for high-precision document work. The company aims to build the most trusted and intelligent AI action layer for in-house legal teams worldwide.

Since its launch, GC AI has grown from $1 million to more than $10 million in annual recurring revenue in under a year, achieving an average month-over-month growth rate of 23% in 2025. The company now serves over 1,000 customers—including major brands such as News Corp, Nextdoor, Skims, Liquid Death, Vercel, TIME Inc., and Zscaler—and reports a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70. Across all users, GC AI has facilitated over 1.75 million AI-driven legal prompts, resulting in an estimated 600,000 hours of saved legal work.

GC AI was founded by former Replit team members—three-time General Counsel and 15-year legal veteran Cecilia Ziniti, and AI engineer and CTO Bardia Pourvakil—to address the specific needs of corporate legal teams. Unlike other legal AI providers that focus primarily on law firms, GC AI’s technology is purpose-built for general counsels and their internal teams, where legal decisions and business priorities intersect.

The company’s platform integrates seamlessly into existing enterprise workflows, covering the full range of legal work, including commercial, employment, privacy, product, and corporate governance. Its In-House Legal Agents combine accurate AI chat with contract agents that can redline directly in Microsoft Word, along with negotiation playbooks that help legal teams review, summarize, and advise faster with deeper context.

More than 5,000 legal professionals have completed GC AI’s courses on legal AI prompting and practical applications of AI in daily legal operations, setting a new standard for training and adoption across the in-house legal community. Many companies report faster deal cycles, reduced outside counsel spend, and improved internal collaboration between legal and business teams.

KEY QUOTES:

“In-house teams deserve technology built for their unique reality. As an in-house lawyer at Amazon and Replit, I saw AI’s potential in helping legal teams become real business drivers. That’s why we built something lawyers actually use and trust, and our 70 NPS proves that.”

Cecilia Ziniti, Co-founder and CEO, GC AI

“GC AI is proving to be a valuable addition to our legal operations. As a cybersecurity company, our customers rely on us to protect their digital transformation, and we need to move quickly while maintaining the highest standards. GC AI is enabling our legal team to be more efficient, reduce our reliance on outside counsel, and deliver better legal outcomes for Zscaler’s rapidly scaling business.”

Robert Schlossman, Chief Legal Officer, Zscaler

“Sometimes the name tells the story. GC AI is one of those cases. Their AI-enabled product is designed specifically for the needs of in-house legal teams, which are very different from the needs of an attorney at a large AmLaw firm. Since announcing the product 18 months ago, GC AI has experienced massive growth, acquiring over 1000 customers.”
