Gen Digital: Trust-Based Solutions Revenue Jumps 26% As Paid Customers Reach 81 Million

Gen Digital reported strong growth in its Trust-Based Solutions business as the cybersecurity and financial wellness company continues to expand beyond its traditional Norton and Avast consumer security products.

Trust-Based Solutions revenue reached approximately $490 million in Gen’s fiscal first quarter of 2027, compared with approximately $388 million in the prior-year period, representing growth of roughly 26%. The company’s Cyber Safety Platform generated approximately $846 million in revenue, and total net revenue reached $1.336 billion.

Gen’s paid customer base also expanded to approximately 81 million from 76 million in the prior-year period. Partner revenue increased to approximately $273 million from $203 million, while total bookings reached approximately $1.284 billion.

The growth reflects Gen’s strategy of building a broader consumer platform around three major areas: Cyber Safety, Identity Protection and Financial Wellness. Its portfolio includes brands such as Norton, Avast, LifeLock and MoneyLion, giving the company exposure beyond cybersecurity into consumer financial services.

Management said the combined platform is designed to deepen relationships with customers by addressing both their digital security and financial lives. Gen views the integration of those capabilities as an opportunity to increase the value of each customer relationship and improve the economics of the broader platform.

Overall GAAP revenue was $1.336 billion, up 6%. GAAP diluted EPS increased 65% to $0.36, while operating cash flow reached $434 million. On a comparable non-GAAP basis that adjusts for the prior year’s extra fiscal week and includes MoneyLion’s stub-period results, revenue increased 11%.

Non-GAAP bookings increased 11% to $1.284 billion, non-GAAP operating income reached $668 million, up 9%, and diluted EPS increased 19% to $0.71. Free cash flow totaled approximately $430 million.

Following the quarter, Gen raised its fiscal 2027 outlook. Revenue is now expected to range from $5.375 billion to $5.475 billion, compared with previous guidance of $5.325 billion to $5.425 billion. The company also raised its EPS outlook to $2.87 to $2.97 from $2.85 to $2.95.

Gen’s broader platform reaches nearly 500 million users in more than 150 countries, giving the company a large existing distribution base as it seeks to connect cybersecurity, privacy, identity protection and financial wellness products.
