Genergy has acquired Utility Research Associates, a provider of utility billing, utility data management, and sub-metering services for commercial real estate owners across the Northeast.
The acquisition expands Genergy’s utility data services and gives URA customers access to a broader set of capabilities in electrical engineering, infrastructure management, compliance, energy procurement, and technology.
Genergy provides Electrical Distribution Infrastructure Management Services spanning electrical distribution engineering, Power Grid Identification studies, testing and maintenance, sub-metering design and deployment, utility billing, demand response, energy procurement, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure analytics.
URA customers will also gain access to UM2.0, Genergy’s proprietary Utility & Infrastructure Intelligence Platform. UM2.0 combines utility data, electrical infrastructure information, engineering, analytics, and AI to help property owners monitor infrastructure performance, compliance, operating efficiency, and financial optimization.
Genergy’s broader strategy is to consolidate functions that commercial property owners have traditionally purchased from multiple vendors into a single integrated infrastructure management platform.
The acquisition is supported by Genergy’s strategic financial partner, Tarte Family Office. Genergy CFO Evan Tarte will help lead further growth through acquisitions, technology investments, and operational expansion.
