Genspark: $275 Million Series B Raised To Accelerate Autonomous AI Workspace Platform

Genspark has raised a $275 million Series B financing round at a $1.25 billion post-money valuation, marking one of the largest and fastest-growing rounds in the AI workspace category this year. The round was oversubscribed and backed by Emergence Capital Partners along with global investors such as SBI Investment, LG Technology Ventures, Pavilion Capital, and Uphonest Capital. All existing investors also increased their commitments. The company surpassed a $50 million annualized run rate within just 5 months of its initial launch, placing it among the fastest-expanding AI companies in the market.

The financing coincides with the debut of the Genspark AI Workspace, a platform designed to shift knowledge work from AI-assisted tasks to autonomous execution. Instead of prompting models step by step, the Workspace enables users to state a single high-level intent and receive a fully completed deliverable. The company positions this as a pivotal transition from AI chatbots to agentic AI that delivers tangible business outcomes.

Genspark says its platform accomplishes this by combining reasoning capabilities with execution infrastructure. While large language models provide cognitive processing, they cannot independently perform the practical workflow tasks required to produce complete business outputs. Genspark’s Mixture of Agents architecture routes and manages complex workflows across more than 30 AI models, including leading frontier models and open source alternatives. This is further supported by more than 150 proprietary tools and over 20 premium datasets, which enable the system to interface with work software, assemble information, and deliver ready-to-use results.

The all-in-one platform serves as an intelligent conductor, autonomously coordinating models and tools to deliver polished results across a range of enterprise needs. Early customer feedback highlights its value for high-stakes workflows such as quarterly earnings reports and board-level presentations.

Genspark’s founding team brings experience from Microsoft, Google, Meta, YouTube, and Pinterest. CEO Eric Jing, a founding member of Microsoft Bing, previously built a company to a $5.5 billion valuation. CTO Kay Zhu has a history of pioneering search ranking technologies at Google, launching the world’s first deep neural network ranking model in a production search system in 2013. COO Wen Sang, who holds a PhD from MIT, previously founded and exited Smarking, an enterprise SaaS company backed by Y Combinator and Khosla Ventures. Their combined background contributed to the company’s development of rigorous evaluation benchmarks that ensure its autonomous agents produce reliable, high-quality output, typically requiring only one customer prompt.

Genspark builds agentic AI for more than one billion knowledge workers worldwide. Its platform converts business intent into finished outputs across formats, including board presentations, financial models, enterprise documents, full-stack applications, mobile apps, and video games. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

KEY QUOTES:

“There are over 1 billion knowledge workers globally spending countless hours on busywork: drafting emails, summarizing meeting notes, creating slides, analyzing data, writing reports. AI chatbots gave us conversation, but they didn’t eliminate the work. You’re still prompting, switching tools, editing outputs. That’s not transformation, that’s just AI-assisted busywork! Genspark changes this dynamic entirely. Our platform enables knowledge workers to focus on strategy and decisions while autonomous agents handle execution. You state your intent, we deliver the finished work. This is a fundamental shift in how a billion people will work, from managing tasks to driving outcomes. In the AI era, Genspark is where your work gets finished autonomously.”
Eric Jing, CEO of Genspark

“Genspark unlocks something entirely new for enterprises: autonomous execution that delivers finished work, not just assistance. We’ve got our pulse on the AI workspace category, and no one has cracked this until now. Genspark is solving real-world pain points and filling the productivity gap in enterprise AI adoption.”
Joe Floyd, General Partner at Emergence Capital

“We tried more than 20 AI tools on the market to help us build our quarterly presentations and earnings reports. Genspark is the only one that is boardroom ready.”
