Could you tell me more about your background? Huang said:
“My experience at Intel and Google gave me deep exposure to cutting-edge technologies, but what truly inspired me was witnessing how many small and medium-sized businesses were being left behind in the e-commerce wave due to technical barriers. They were full of passion but constrained by resources and knowledge. This made me realize that the real value of technology lies not in extreme performance, but in making it accessible to everyone.”

How did the idea for the company come together? Huang shared:
“Genstore was born from the belief that no founder should build alone. E-commerce platforms kept adding features, yet what small businesses truly needed was simplicity. Our goal wasn’t to build more powerful tools, but to make launching and running an online business effortless—as natural as having a conversation.”
“The real pain point was isolation. Small merchants often find themselves alone, confronting the complexity that comes with growth: technology, operations, and marketing. That’s why we say: ‘It’s not a tool you learn. It’s a team you lead.’”
“We’re making AI their co-founder in entrepreneurship. After in-depth conversations with micro-business owners across North America—individual sellers, secondhand shop owners, florists, and others—a clear pain point emerged: they didn’t need a system overloaded with features, but an intelligent partner that truly lowers the barrier to launching a store and improves operational efficiency. We paused development, refactored the product, and ultimately created today’s conversation-driven Genstore.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Huang reflected:
“The most thrilling moment was the night before our product launch, when the entire team stayed up to resolve a critical issue. Our AI Agent team and the core e-commerce system had to be completed simultaneously—it was like test-flying a new plane on a runway still under construction.”
“During testing that night, the key ‘multi-AI assistant collaboration’ feature suddenly stalled. This meant that when users made a request to the AI, the backend “virtual employees” would descend into chaos. The pressure was immense because AI was the core of our product; if it failed, the product failed. That night, the team worked together tirelessly, with some arriving as early as six in the morning and others staying through the night. With no precedent in the market to follow, we relied entirely on our own innovation. Just before dawn, we finally found an elegant solution. As we watched that AI seamlessly coordinate various assistants to complete tasks, that sense of creating something from nothing and the achievement it brought was unparalleled. That overnight effort encapsulated our journey from zero to one.”

What are the company’s core products and features? Huang explained:
“Genstore is a full-stack, AI-native e-commerce platform built around a team of AI agents that handle everything from store setup to marketing and operations. Core features include a conversation-driven store builder, a “one-image-to-product-page” capability where the AI automatically generates titles, descriptions, and product details from a single photo, and a smart dropshipping system with automated fulfillment solutions.”
“We are also advancing the upgrade of our full-stack AI agent team—evolving AI from task execution to strategic planning. For instance, the Campaign Agent will be capable of autonomously adjusting marketing strategies using real-time market data, while the Analytics Agent will proactively flag inventory risks and suggest replenishment strategies. This is equivalent to providing every merchant with a 24/7 expert team, freeing them from operational execution and elevating them into decision-makers.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Huang acknowledged:
“One of our key challenges has been balancing rapid AI innovation with stable, reliable infrastructure. We employ a two-track approach: our underlying infrastructure remains stable and payment and security systems adhere to industry-leading standards such as PCI DSS certification, while upper-layer AI capabilities iterate rapidly through controlled experimentation. New AI features are first introduced as gray-launch tests and only transition to official functionality after user validation.”
“The key to balance is ensuring users always retain control. Another challenge has been truly understanding what users need versus what we assumed they needed. Early on, some users complained that AI-generated product descriptions lacked vividness. Instead of rushing to optimize the model, we spent a month observing their actual usage scenarios. We discovered the key issue wasn’t phrasing quality, but a lack of industry-specific terminology—which led us to strengthen the AI’s ability to understand and extract information from vertical industries.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Huang noted:
“Following our recent update, Genstore has now reached Level 2.5 within our e-commerce autonomy framework. This means core processes from store setup and sourcing to design and support, are largely automated, with store launches already 90% automated.”
“Looking ahead, our focus is on achieving Level 3: full automation of daily operational scenarios within four to six months for key cases, then expanding to full coverage. This will shift the merchant’s role from managing daily operations to setting goals and approving outcomes.”
“Level 3 is a critical step toward our ultimate vision of fully-autonomous commerce (Level 4), with meaningful progress targeted in 2026.”

What differentiates the company from its competition? Huang affirmed:

“Over the next five years, the biggest change won’t be more features, but whether AI can operate end-to-end in a closed loop.
