Gentherm announced it has acquired Innovative Medical Equipment, a Cleveland-area provider of the ThermaZone thermal therapy device, in a move the company said supports its strategy to strengthen its Medical business. ThermaZone is a non-opioid thermal therapy solution designed to support pain management and recovery through controlled hot-and-cold therapy.
The acquisition adds an established technology platform and customer base that Gentherm said expands its addressable opportunities in healthcare while remaining aligned with its broader thermal management expertise. The company expects the deal to deliver revenue synergies by leveraging IME’s expanded customer relationships across additional channels. Gentherm, which also produces automotive climate control seats, climate control interiors, and lumbar and massage comfort solutions, recorded approximately $1.5 billion in annual sales in 2025 and secured $2.2 billion in automotive new business awards, employing more than 14,000 people across facilities in 13 countries.
