Geordie: $6.5 Million Seed Funding Raised For Advancing Future Of Agentic AI

By Amit Chowdhry ● Sep 10, 2025

Geordie, a London-based cybersecurity startup focused on agent-native security, has officially exited stealth mode with $6.5 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Ten Eleven Ventures and General Catalyst, with additional backing from a group of prominent angel investors. Founded in early 2025 by cybersecurity veterans from Darktrace and Snyk, Geordie is building the infrastructure enterprises need to adopt and scale autonomous AI agents safely.

As businesses increasingly integrate agentic AI into core operations, they face new challenges that traditional security tools weren’t designed to handle. These agents operate independently, make non-deterministic decisions, and evolve their behavior over time—raising concerns around visibility, governance, and risk. A recent EY survey found that nearly 90% of enterprise leaders are encountering barriers to adoption, underscoring the urgency for purpose-built solutions.

Geordie’s platform is designed to address these complexities head-on. Its agent-native architecture provides continuous visibility into agent behavior across tools and frameworks, while its real-time mitigation engine, Beam, guides agent decisions in context to ensure alignment with enterprise policies. The system is vendor-agnostic and built to scale, offering proactive control without disrupting operations.

The founding team includes CEO Henry Comfort, formerly COO Americas at Darktrace; Hanah-Marie Darley, former Director of Security and AI Strategy at Darktrace; and Benji Weber, previously Senior Director of Engineering at Snyk. Together, they bring deep expertise in cybersecurity, AI strategy, and enterprise-scale engineering.

Geordie’s emergence comes at a pivotal moment for enterprise AI. As organizations race to deploy autonomous systems, the need for security frameworks that match the pace and complexity of agentic intelligence is becoming critical. With support from Ten Eleven Ventures and General Catalyst, Geordie is positioning itself as a foundational layer for safe and scalable AI adoption.

How the funding will be used: The company will use the funding to accelerate product development, expand its team, and deepen its engagement with enterprise customers. As agentic AI continues to reshape how businesses operate, Geordie aims to ensure that innovation doesn’t come at the cost of control or security.

KEY QUOTES:

“There’s no established playbook for how to deploy agentic AI now. Many times, the limited visibility and lack of understanding of potential risks are key blockers for many CISOs and technology leaders. Geordie supports these leaders so that organizations can bring strategic innovation in-house confidently and regain control of their rapidly changing technology environment. The security Geordie brings will be a critical part of safely embracing the agentic AI revolution destined for the decade ahead.”

Dave Palmer, General Partner at Ten Eleven Ventures

“Our platform, purpose-built for agents, ensures enterprises don’t have to choose between innovation and security. By offering real-time visibility into agent activity and aligning with enterprise policies and external frameworks, we’re building trust and providing the tools necessary for safe AI adoption.”

Henry Comfort, Co-founder and CEO

“Agentic systems demand similarly autonomous security systems, not traditional software. Henry, Hanah and Benji understand that governing AI agents requires fundamentally different approaches than conventional cybersecurity. We are backing founders who see that tomorrow’s enterprise security must be built for intelligence that evolves its own decision paths.”
