Givzey | Version2.ai said its Virtual Engagement Officers have generated more than $20 million in gifts for healthcare, nonprofit and educational institutions, doubling the $10 million milestone reached five months earlier.

The company’s autonomous AI fundraisers independently manage personalized donor engagement campaigns and have now been deployed with 200 partners across more than 250 deployments in over 40 states and Canada.

Givzey | Version2.ai introduced its Autonomous Fundraising model in 2024 to address staffing and capacity constraints that prevent fundraising teams from maintaining one-to-one relationships with large populations of prospective donors.

Its Virtual Engagement Officers can independently manage portfolios of approximately 1,000 donors, communicating through personalized text, email, video avatars and robotically handwritten notes.

The company also offers Virtual Planned Giving Officers focused on legacy giving and Grateful Patient VEOs designed specifically for healthcare fundraising.

Givzey said the average partner generates approximately four times annual ROI, while VEOs in the top 20% produce returns of eight times or more.

Approximately 43% of donors engaged by VEOs increased their giving compared with the prior year, with upgraded gifts averaging 66% higher. One in five upgraded donors tripled their previous gift.

The company also reported a 0.1% donor opt-out rate. VEOs have been deployed by organizations including the Salk Institute, PETA, The Salvation Army, UNICEF USA, Bucknell University, Baylor University, Temple University, UC San Diego, Wake Forest University and William & Mary.

KEY QUOTES:

“Since we invented and pioneered Autonomous Fundraising in 2024, we’ve had the privilege of working with 200 partners across more than 250 deployments, spanning more than 40 states and into Canada. This milestone of raising $20M for our partner institutions is a confirmation of the work that Autonomous Fundraising does to bring hundreds of thousands of donors closer to these institutions. Givzey’s rapid customer expansion and ROI growth is a direct result of the work we’re doing to drive actual revenue with Autonomous AI rather than incremental efficiency gains that other solutions provide. As a team of former frontline fundraisers, we know that the future of Autonomous Fundraising is bright. When donors receive personalized communication, donors respond, they give, and they give more – because they feel closer to the missions they support.”

Adam Martel, Founder and CEO of Givzey | Version2.ai

“Autonomous Fundraising empowers fundraising teams to reach more donors with the personalized communications that have proven to bring donors closer to an organization’s mission. At the same time, these fundraising teams are already stretching to engage their top donors in one-to-one moves management. This is where our VEOs drive the most impact, providing consistent, personalized communication throughout the year to the donors who are giving, but unassigned to gift officers.”
