Glenmede has appointed Michael H. Novak as Relationship Manager, Wealth Advisory and Managing Director, adding more than 30 years of wealth management, fiduciary and trust experience to its Ohio team. Novak will report to Bethany Bryant, Glenmede’s Ohio Regional Director.
In his new role, Novak will work directly with high-net-worth individuals and families on fiduciary, wealth planning and broader advisory needs while coordinating with Glenmede’s tax and planning professionals to develop customized strategies.
His responsibilities are expected to span trust administration, estate planning considerations, wealth transfer and the coordination of investment and planning decisions across complex family balance sheets.
Novak joins Glenmede from Northern Trust, where he served as Senior Fiduciary Officer and Senior Vice President.
At Northern Trust, he was responsible for managing the company’s Ohio trust practice and supporting business development efforts across the region.
That role gave him experience overseeing fiduciary relationships while working with clients whose needs often extend beyond investment management into estate structures, intergenerational planning and long-term trust administration.
Before Northern Trust, Novak served as a Personal Trust Officer and Senior Vice President at Key Private Bank.
There, he managed relationships with high-net-worth clients within the firm’s Family Wealth division and provided guidance around trust and wealth planning matters.
His background across both Northern Trust and Key Private Bank brings a combination of fiduciary administration, client relationship management and business development experience to Glenmede.
The appointment also strengthens Glenmede’s presence in Ohio as the firm continues expanding its advisory capabilities for wealthy families.
Glenmede’s model combines investment management with fiduciary, tax, planning and family wealth services, allowing relationship managers to coordinate with specialists across multiple disciplines.
That structure can be particularly important for clients with more complicated estate, trust and tax considerations.
As families accumulate wealth across multiple generations, advisory relationships increasingly require coordination among investment professionals, attorneys, accountants and fiduciary specialists.
Novak’s trust and private banking background is expected to support that type of multidisciplinary planning.
Glenmede oversees approximately $53 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026.
The firm serves high-net-worth individuals and families, family offices, foundations, endowments and institutional clients.
By adding Novak as Managing Director and Relationship Manager in Ohio, Glenmede is expanding the senior experience available to clients in the region while reinforcing its focus on fiduciary guidance and customized wealth planning.
KEY QUOTE:
“Mike brings extensive experience as a fiduciary and trusted advisor in wealth management and estate planning to Glenmede. His deep expertise and commitment to client service will be a tremendous asset to our team and the families we serve.”
Bethany Bryant, Ohio Regional Director At Glenmede
