Global Alternative Investment Management announced that Robert C. Riedl has joined the firm as Managing Director, Head of Private Capital.
In this role, Riedl will lead the development of the company’s private capital platform, overseeing the sourcing, evaluation, structuring, and execution of private market investment opportunities across asset classes while expanding relationships with institutional and high-net-worth investors.
Riedl brings more than a decade of experience in capital markets and strategic advisory, including leadership roles at Wells Fargo Securities, KeyBanc Capital Markets, and Piper Sandler. During his career, he advised financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate clients, and financial sponsors on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and public offerings.
His background also includes advising fintech and insurtech companies, as well as businesses integrating technology and AI into traditional operating models. The company noted that his experience spans both buy-side and sell-side engagements across private markets.
Riedl earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Carlson School of Management and a Master of Science in Finance from the Carroll School of Management.
GAIM said it focuses on providing access to private markets through direct investments, secondary market purchases, and co-investments across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, and other alternative investment strategies. The firm serves high-net-worth investors, foundations, and endowments.
