Warburg Pincus announced an agreement to invest up to $1 billion in Global Eggs, valuing the company at $8 billion and marking a major growth investment in the multinational table egg producer and distributor. The equity for the transaction is being provided by Warburg Pincus Capital Solutions Founders Fund.

Founded in 2018 by Executive Chairman Ricardo Faria, Global Eggs has rapidly scaled to become the world’s largest multinational producer and distributor of table eggs. The company operates more than 50 farms across the United States, South America, and Europe, with over 45 million birds. It is on track to produce more than 15 billion eggs this year across conventional, cage-free, free-range, and specialty categories.

Global Eggs has expanded through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Its vertically integrated model spans pullet breeding, feed formulation, packaging, and logistics, enabling the company to maintain quality control and meet stringent food safety standards across global markets. The company operates trusted regional brands, including Hillandale Farms in the United States, Granja Faria in South America, and Hevo Group in Europe.

Warburg Pincus Capital Solutions Founders Fund closed in September 2024 with more than $4 billion in commitments. The Capital Solutions team partners with founders and existing shareholders to provide flexible capital for balance sheet optimization, shareholder liquidity, M&A, and growth initiatives, leveraging the firm’s global platform.

As part of the transaction, Allison Ross, Principal at Warburg Pincus, will join Global Eggs’ Board of Directors.

Warburg Pincus is a global growth investing firm founded in 1966, with more than $100 billion in assets under management and over 215 active portfolio companies across private equity, real estate, and capital solutions strategies.
