Global Medical Virtual Assistants announced the appointment of John F. Rodis, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Advisor effective April 29, 2026. GMVA said the appointment comes as the company expands its focus toward serving large hospitals and health systems facing increasing administrative workloads and workforce shortages.
In the role, Rodis will help expand GMVA’s presence within hospitals and health systems while supporting strategic partnerships and enterprise adoption of the company’s workforce infrastructure platform.
GMVA positions itself as a workforce infrastructure partner that provides healthcare organizations with scalable administrative capacity integrated into existing hospital operations without increasing internal headcount.
Rodis is the founder and president of Arista Health and previously served as president of Saint Francis Hospital, a 617-bed teaching hospital in New England.
During his tenure at Saint Francis Hospital, the organization achieved Level 1 Trauma Designation, expanded cancer and women’s health services, earned recognition as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by IBM Watson Health, and received multiple patient safety and patient experience awards.
Rodis has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and currently serves as President of the Moving To Value Alliance and as a member of the Healthgrades Quality Advisory Board.
