GoEngineer announced the acquisition of SKA, a leading SOLIDWORKS and engineering technology reseller in Latin America. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands GoEngineer’s operations into Latin America and strengthens the company’s capabilities across manufacturing software, automation, shop-floor technologies, and product development. SKA will continue operating under the name “SKA, a GoEngineer company.”
Founded in 1989 and headquartered in São Leopoldo, SKA serves thousands of customers across manufacturing, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. Along with its SOLIDWORKS business, the company provides expertise in manufacturing execution systems (MES), machining automation, sheet metal, additive manufacturing, and engineering workflow integrations.
GoEngineer said the acquisition enhances its ability to support customers throughout the full product lifecycle, from engineering and design through production and factory-floor operations. The company also noted that the transaction expands its technical expertise and customer support presence throughout the Americas. The deal follows GoEngineer’s expansion into Canada earlier in 2025 and marks its first entry into Latin America and the Southern Hemisphere.
GoEngineer describes itself as a full-service engineering solutions provider that combines software and hardware offerings from multiple technology vendors with in-house technical capabilities, including certified specialists, training infrastructure, and additive manufacturing services spanning FDM, PolyJet, SLA, SLS, and metal 3D printing technologies.
SKA’s leadership team and local operations will remain in place following the acquisition, with the company continuing to serve customers and partners throughout Brazil.
The combined organization is expected to provide expanded resources for engineering and manufacturing customers across North and South America, including coordinated support for multinational manufacturers operating throughout the region.
