GoEngineer announced the acquisition of SKA, Latin America’s leading SOLIDWORKS and engineering technology reseller, extending the company’s full-service engineering partner model into Latin America. Following the transaction, SKA will operate as SKA, a GoEngineer company.
Headquartered in São Leopoldo, Brazil, and founded in 1989, SKA serves thousands of customers across manufacturing, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. The acquisition expands GoEngineer’s footprint into Latin America and the Southern Hemisphere while enhancing its capabilities in manufacturing software, automation, shop-floor technologies, additive manufacturing, and engineering workflow integrations.
SKA also brings expertise in manufacturing execution systems (MES), machining automation, sheet metal technologies, and product development solutions. The combined organization is expected to provide customers with expanded support throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design and engineering to production and factory-floor operations.
The acquisition follows GoEngineer’s expansion into Canada in 2025 and reflects the company’s broader strategy to build a global engineering solutions platform. GoEngineer said the transaction strengthens its ability to support multinational manufacturers across North and South America through coordinated engineering and technical services.
GoEngineer noted that its differentiators include a broad vendor ecosystem, in-house technical expertise, additive manufacturing services, and training infrastructure that spans classroom, online, and on-site delivery. The company works with technology vendors including Dassault Systèmes, Stratasys, and Bright Laser Technologies.
SKA’s management team and local culture will remain intact as part of the transition, ensuring continuity for customers and partners across Brazil.
