Golden Gate University announced the launch of GGU Digital, a new division focused on delivering affordable, high-quality degree programs globally through AI-enabled instruction and multilingual learning.

The initiative represents a major step in the university’s long-standing mission to expand access to higher education, leveraging artificial intelligence to provide personalized, scalable learning experiences for students worldwide.

GGU Digital will offer degree programs supported by AI-driven instruction, enabling individualized learning pathways tailored to each student’s needs. The platform will also provide multilingual delivery, allowing students to access education in their native languages while significantly reducing costs to improve accessibility.

The new division builds on the success of GGU Worldwide, the university’s existing global education arm, which already serves students in more than 25 countries and offers programs in multiple languages. GGU Digital is designed to extend this reach further by integrating advanced AI capabilities into both teaching and program delivery.

Golden Gate University’s location in San Francisco positions it at the center of global AI innovation, and the institution has emphasized its commitment to embedding AI across its academic programs. Students are trained to use AI tools effectively and are evaluated on their ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.

GGU Digital will expand this approach by ensuring all students graduate with fluency in AI, supported by a new core curriculum that emphasizes hands-on experience with emerging technologies. The university already offers programs such as a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and a Doctor of Business Administration in Emerging Technologies, reflecting its focus on preparing students for AI-driven industries.

The launch follows broader institutional investments, including the recent introduction of a new School of Psychology focused on human systems in the age of AI.

Golden Gate University, a private nonprofit institution founded in 1901, serves more than 8,000 students globally and continues to position itself as an AI-forward university reimagining education for the future of work.

The first GGU Digital degree programs are expected to launch in August 2026.
