Goldenpeak has announced the first and final close of its debut private equity vehicle, Goldenpeak Fund I, at £375 million. The firm completed the raise in just over 12 weeks, attracting strong demand from leading institutional investors across Europe and the United States.

The new fund will focus on supporting mid-market B2B services businesses across the UK and Ireland, with a strategy to help companies optimise operations, expand internationally, and accelerate growth. Goldenpeak was co-founded by Mark Williams and Leon Gillespie, who bring extensive experience in the sector and a partnership-led approach to private equity investing.

The firm positions its model as one that blends deep operational expertise with a culture of collaboration, seeking to drive sustained value creation for founders and management teams.

Co-founder and managing partner Mark Williams said the fund will target investments of £25 million to £75 million in companies generating EBITDA of £3 million to £15 million. “By partnering closely with founders and management teams, we aim to provide the strategic support and capital needed to unlock transformational growth,” he said.

Leon Gillespie, also a co-founder and managing partner, noted that the firm is committed to long-term, partnership-driven investing. “Our goal is to be the private equity partner of choice for growth-oriented B2B services businesses in the UK and Ireland. We believe how we do things is as important as what we achieve. Building true partnerships enables us to engage openly with management teams, investors and advisors and ensures we deliver results with enduring value,” he said.

According to the firm, the fund was significantly oversubscribed, with commitments from prominent endowments, family offices, and institutional backers.

With the fund now closed, Goldenpeak will shift its attention to sourcing and executing new investments. Priority sectors include Technical Services, Data and Information, Professional Services, Testing, Inspection and Certification, Governance Risk & Compliance, and Cyber Security.
