Recently, Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE: GS) announced new heads for its EMEA and LatAm investment banking divisions. These are the details:

Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

For the EMEA operations, Goldman Sachs announced in an internal memo that Gonzalo García and Anthony Gutman will be co-heads of the investment banking division in the area. García and Gutman are going to work closely with Wolfgang Fink, chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs Bank Europe. The memo — which was obtained by Reuters — was signed by co-heads of global investment banking Gregg Lemkau and Dan Dees.

Currently, García serves as co-head of Latin America, co-head of Global Natural Resources, and head of IBD for Latin America. He had joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 and became partner in 2008.

Gutman currently serves as the global co-head of Investment Banking Services and co-head of UK Investment Banking. He joined Goldman Sachs as a managing director in 2007 and became partner in 2012.

Latin America (LatAm)

For the LatAm market, Goldman Sachs announced it named Aasem Khalil as the head of the operations. Khalil is joining Ram Sundaram as the co-head for the region.

And Khalil is also going to retain his role as the head of the investment-banking division for the southern region and the diversity leader for investment banking in the Americas, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg. Khalil was named managing director in 2008 and a partner in 2016.

Khalil is succeeding Garcia in this position.
